ÌÇÐÄÔ´´'s leaders guide our faculty and staff in carrying out the university's mission, vision and strategic plan. Leadership members ensure we provide a top-quality education that prepares our students for life. They also work to position our university to advance like never before.

The Office of the Provost leads ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ A&M's academic efforts. The current provost is Alan Sams.
Representative Bodies
Our representative bodies serve the interests of our university's various populations. They voice the needs, interests and concerns of their constituents to the university administration.
The Faculty Advisory Council, which is being established, will serve in an advisory capacity to the president on matters directly related to the academic programs of the institution.
The Student Senate is the legislative branch of the Student Government Association, serving as the voice of the student body to the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ A&M Administration and other university entities.
The University Staff Council cultivates a collaborative work environment for ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ A&M staff under the Office of the President through representation, service, programs and communications.
The Student Government Association is dedicated to engaging and representing ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ A&M students through its legislative, executive and judicial branches.
Leadership of Our Colleges and Schools
Our university's colleges and schools are each led by a dean. These leaders guide each entity in achieving its mission and goals.
University System Structure and Governance
ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ A&M is part of The ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ System, a statewide network of 11 universities, a comprehensive health science center, eight state agencies and ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ A&M-RELLIS. Each of the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ A&M System’s members has a president, chief executive officer or director.
ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ A&M System Board of Regents
The ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ A&M System is governed by the Board of Regents, which oversees the administration and sets policy directions for ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ A&M System members. The nine-member Board of Regents is appointed by the state governor and confirmed by the ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ Senate for six-year terms. A nonvoting student member was added in 2006.
ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ A&M System Chancellor
ÌÇÐÄÔ´´ A&M System Chancellor Glenn Hegar oversees the system's day-to-day administration.
